About This Product

1909 First Year Of Issue Lincoln Pennies

Product Description...
Just weeks after the first Lincoln cent was minted, the coin was the center of a huge uproar--the designer's initials (VDB) were too big! The coin was pulled and a new initial-free version was minted. Only a limited supply of the VDB pennies exists today, generating great appeal to serious collectors intrigued by its numismatic history. The set includes both the rare 1909 VDB and the 1909 initial-free version, sonically-sealed in an acrylic case that reveals both the obverse and reverse designs. With Certificate of Authenticity.
